UPDATE: Thank you for your generous donations! The Code-a-Thon 2016 Taylor Team is fully funded! If you would still like to give toward this event, any additional donations will be given to the event’s organizer, LightSys.
Taylor Team prayer requests are for travel, productivity, team work, servant attitude, the end users of the Android app, to be a blessing, and to glorify God. Learn more about each student at Taylor’s Center for Missions Computing.
The Taylor team will be traveling March 18 through March 27. Please keep Luke, Jacob, and Alec in your prayers as they drive 2300 miles round trip, write their Android app, and experience missions computing in a real way.
---
Taylor University computer science students, Luke, Jacob, and Alec, are heading to Colorado Springs over spring break to join LightSys at Code-a-Thon 2016. This event is where Christian software developers, designers, project managers, and tech writers gather for a week for coding, fellowship, prayer, worship, and fun. The Taylor Team will be developing an Android app for language learners of a lesser known Asian language.
All housing is provided by generous community members, so the funds raised here will cover food, gas, and wear and tear on Luke’s vehicle. We would love to have you join us in supporting this team. Learn more about each student at Taylor’s Center for Missions Computing.

Tom and I were going to fund this with the $42 envelope, because it is the answer to life, the universe, and everything...but another donor had already grabbed it. Thanks for donating though! So we picked the $40 envelope to represent the 32 years we have been married plus the 8 years that we have been with Taylor's Center for Missions Computing. Have a great trip Code-a-Thon guys!

If you decide to go skiing/snowboarding while you're out there, be sure to wear sunscreen. We didn't do that and some of us got roasted.

I donated $24 to this campaign because that's my age ;-). I went on this trip when I was at Taylor, so I wanted to contribute to the amazing experience that I had. Enjoy the drive, enjoy your friends, and get some work done!
