Nope. With Todah there are no deadlines or time-limits. BUT we encourage you to keep your campaign between 4-8 weeks, as momentum and interest can quickly wane if you don’t have a good, ongoing communication plan for the duration of the campaign.
Absolutely! Contributors can choose to give anonymously or have only their name show, without their donation amount.
At this point we are only raising money in the United States.
Absolutely. The mobile version of your Todah campaign will load for those visiting your page from their phones. Your campaign still looks great and it's very easy for donors to complete their payment from their mobile device.
This is a functionality that is very important to us so please be watching for this to be added in the near future.
While it's free to create and share your online fundraising campaign, Todah will deduct a 5% fee from each donation that you receive. Since our fee is deducted automatically, you'll never need to worry about being billed or owing us any money. A credit card processing fee of 2.9% +.30 will also be deducted from each payment. You'll raise more money, more quickly on Todah than through any other method, which easily makes up for the fees.
We do not currently have a mobile app, but we are planning one, so be watching for it. In the meantime, we are proud of our mobile-friendly site. Let us know what you think!
Every Todah campaign is given a unique link that's easy to share with others. Sharing your fundraising campaign is easy using Todah's built-in features like email invitations and Facebook posting.
You can choose to be anonymous when donating, but whatever you choose will effect any past, current and future gift.
All nonprofit campaigns are tied to the IRS 501c3 list and the funds will go directly to the non-profit, even if someone is raising it on behalf of the organization. That being said, it is not feasible for Todah to investigate the claims stated by each campaign organizer. Rather, we encourage contributors to investigate with friends who might be involved or do a little investigative work yourself. We do have some key deterrents in place to help minimize this including the direct connect through the Non-profit id number and fraud safeguards in place with our transaction providers. Individual campaigns are harder for us to verify, so … Bottom Line, only fund those you know or know people you know.
You'll receive an email notification each time a donation is made to your Todah campaign.
When you create your campaign, you will be prompted to create a WePay account. This will allow you to withdraw funds as often as you like; daily, weekly or at the end of the campaign.

You can add “pre-campaign dollars raised” when you set up your campaign. This will reflect toward your total goal.
Every gift to a nonprofit organization will be tax deductible. You will receive your tax deduction letter directly from the nonprofit. If you do not, please contact them directly. If you are giving to an individual or a giving/investment group there will be no tax deduction. If you are raising money as an individual, please contact your tax advisor.
You can raise money on Todah for nonprofit endeavors, personal causes or giving/investment groups. You CANNOT raise money for for-profit companies or products. If you are raising money for a nonprofit all funds will go directly to the nonprofit as listed on the IRS 501c3 list. If you are an individual or giving/investment group you can designate a bank account where the funds will be transferred.
We provide you key information to help set a reasonable goal. We think it is important to reach your goal because it is not only encouraging to you, but it shows your donors that you have reasonable expectations and not only know what you need, but what you need to accomplish it. Although we know that this will not always be possible, we DO NOT charge a fee or withhold any funds that are raised using Todah.
Sharing your campaign with friends and family is a part of what makes Todah work so well. People in your life will be the first to support your efforts and they will also help spread the word to their friends. Todah users should not expect to receive support from strangers.

Every campaign organizer should have a solid communications plan for the duration of the campaign with pictures, videos and updates. You MUST understand that the key contributors will come from YOUR networks. Only once momentum starts to build through these avenues will you have the potential for your networks to reach out to their networks and attract those who aren’t directly connected to your mission. Be sure to promote the campaign through your email, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and other networks. The people who currently follow you will be the first to contribute.
Todah has operating expenses like any other company that include technology, infrastructure, payroll, etc. We want everyone to have the opportunity to use our tool to raise funds and awareness for their mission so we have made it free for anyone to launch a campaign. In order to do this we had to find an alternate form of income that would allow us to continue offering this service to whomever might need or want it, and this is that model that seemed to offer the greatest benefit to the user while still allowing us to generate the funds needed to continue…minus advertising and other distractions for the user. In a Freemium society it is very difficult for organizations to survive and thrive without such fees and we are proud to keep our costs in a range that will minimally affect the impact of your efforts. While Todah is a for-profit company, there are many non-profits that take a dramatically higher percentage for their operating expenses. We will always strive to function in the most effective and efficient manner to assure the largest portion of your giving goes directly to your cause, not to us.
Yes. You will have access to all this information through WePay.
There is a 7.9% +.30% fee for each transaction. This fee allows us to provide secure payment processing (2.9% + .30) and a user-friendly platform (5%) to help generate the donation you need to fund your mission. Your donors will have the option to cover these fees or not. If they do not, you will receive their contribution minus the fees. This fee is far below the average operational cost for most non-profits, i.e managing volunteers in typical campaigns, gathering checks and all other annual campaign and fundraising event costs, so we think once you try it you will see that the benefits are worth the fee.
The best way to get into the spotlight is to pursue your own local media first. The good news is that your local newspaper and TV news stations are starving for interesting stories like yours. Once your campaign begins to really pick up steam, our team may contact you. We also rotate campaigns on the front page so you could get some attention through that.
